Got some Eagle Industries shoulder pads in for the MBSS PC. I'm not even sure if these things are in the FSBE II kit. Probably not to be honest.

The color difference between the shoulderpads and the MBSS is very noticeable. Old and new shades of coyote brown.

As expected the M60 pouch arrived today. It's a 2005 issued one. I expected the color to be a little different but it's almost exactly the same as the 2007 issued one that I already have.

The webbing does have a different color to it though, that of the older generation pouches.

 

Not much to say about it. It came with a divider and detachable top to convert it into a dump pouch.

Got some new stuff in today.

 

I already had a fanny pack from CSM, which I bought a few months ago. But when I saw this issued one, I couldn't let it slip away. Unfortunately I didn't bid on the 2005 one which was for sale a month ago, due to cash flow. But I grabbed this 2009 one, making it the first 2009 issued item I own.

The MBITR and HABD pouch are both 2007 issued. I already have a 2004 one, but it's on my MBSS plate carrier. So I put the 2007 on my CIRAS. The "SEA Pocket" also went on my MBSS plate carrier. I might take some updated pics of both the CIRAS and MBSS when I'm less lazy.

Shopping spree

I've been Ebaying again. Bought myself a few pouches, some of the newer 2009 dated stuff and some 2007 and some 2005 stuff.

I won't say what, you will see when I get it.

Today I did get a smoke grenade pouch in. Never had one of these before, so I snagged it when I saw it for sale. And the shittiest part was that I was gonna bid on a 2005 one too, but I forgot about it while playing World of Warcraft and missed the auction. The 2005 pouch went for US $20.50. The 2007 one cost me US $30 lol!!!

Just something I thought I'd share.

So a few months ago I purchased an admin pouch with lightholder from a US reseller. The cool thing was that it came with a patch, some mini mag light and a small red LED light attached to it.

The patch was a really nice surprise, because it has the Recon Jack on it, which is the symbol used by Recon Marines.

But it doesn't stop there. Look at the name and rank on the patch.

And now look at this guy's patch. Hah! What are the odds huh?!

Frag you!

Got 2 x 2004 dated frag pouches in today. I traded for them with a fellow FSBE II collector. I can't take pics of them for the moment as I have no access to a good digicam. But let me tell you they look EXACTLY like my 2007 ones haha. No difference, except maybe for the color and the tag.

All quiet on the gear buying front.

I haven't posted for a while for the simple reason that I have not bought anything new lately.

Earlier today, I was seriously tempted to buy some Ranger Green stuff, but I decided against it. Eventhough I really want to put together a Ranger loadout, I want to spend less on gear. But the color is just so damn sexy, especially combined with a set of Crye Precision multicam uniform. I also read on some forum that US SOCOM Marines are fielding the Crye Precision uniforms now. I better stop talking about it, or I can't stop myself again.


On the FSBE II front, I won an auction for a 2005 M60 mag pouch. I already own a 2007 one, but I wanted a green tag one. I might trade the 2007 one for a 2004 one, if the other guy wants to do the deal. If not, I might just keep it or sell it.

There's also a tan M3X long gun for sale on Ebay at the moment. I wonder why there aren't any more units for sale, as they are readily available in stores. More people should put them up for sale, I would definitely buy one if the price isn't too high. It's not the correct light, but it looks exactly like it, apart from the "label".
