LBT 6094B

There was a bunch of cheap LBT 6094B's on Ebay, so I grabbed one just for the heck of it.

The seller listed the color as chocolate coyote brown. Ideally I wanted a tan 6094 for a SEAL loadout, but it was just to cheap to pass up.

Here's a comparison pic between my FSBE II RRS-V and the LBT 6094B

Color difference is barely noticeable IMHO. And next is a comparison between the LBT 6094B in CB and the LBT 9034A in Tan.

Here the color difference is rather obvious.

Picture of the label.

I also picked up one of the internal mag shingles aka LBT 2645A, which are made to be used in this vest.

And here's the end result with some FSBE II pouches that I just threw on there.

SDS sustainment pouches

Another two pouches arrived today from the US. These are the Specialty Defense Systems sustainment pouches.

I have put one on the back of my Guarder replica Amphibious Assault Vest (AAV), replacing the Tactical Tailor hydration carrier. I opted for the sustainment pouch, because it has been seen more in reference pictures.

The other one has been put on my duty belt and will act as a dump pouch.

Oakley M-Frame

Oakley M-Frame with blast clip. USMC issued/approved.

I have only worn them for a few minutes and I can already say that they are a lot nicer than the ESS ICE ballistic glasses that I have. They are in a totally different league, quality, build and comfort wise.

Next thing to get would be a set of black lenses.

MOLLE hydration carrier

In the past I have bought 2 OD/Black camelbak hydration carriers. Both of them were second hand, used. So I never got to use them as I didn't think it was hygienic.

I had been looking around for some cheap replacement bladder and in the end I found this newer edition OD/Black camelbak hydration carrier which uses the same bladder. The best thing is that it was so cheap. It cost me just half of what they charge for a new bladder!

Anyway here's the pic of the new carrier and the old carrier (with the new bladder in it).

Both the new and old carrier have an NSN tag. The NSN tag on the new carrier (left) is visible through the filling hole and the NSN tag on hte old carrier is sewn on one of the shoulder straps.

Another reason I bought it, is because I can use it for my FSBE loadout. Check out the upper and lower reference pictures!

More pouches

Just got this in today. It's an SDS SAW 200rd ammo pouch.

But this is how the Force Recon guys used it. As a gas mask carrier.

FSBE update

Here are a few pics that I thought I'd share with you of my latest FSBE woodland acquisitions.

Bianchi duty belt, it's not the correct one. But it will do for now unfortunately.

Old style model Safariland 6004 for 1911.

As I have said the AAV is a Guarder replica unfortunately. But the other pouches on it are real. Most of them are made by SDS and Allied Industries.

Tactical Tailor hydration carrier, which I bought a few years ago. I was planning to sell it, but no one was interested in it. So I kept it and have used it on the back for the time being.

I am planning to replace it with a sustainment pouch or take it off, but I am not sure yet.

Fire Brigade Manufacturing balaclava.

 Replica MICH with ESS goggles.

FSBE gear

For a few months now, I have been wanting to start an older FSBE loadout. And about 2 weeks ago I started buying the stuff.

It is much easier to collect, although some pouches are still reasonably hard to find or to get a hold of. But there are replacement pouches for them, as seen on reference pictures.

So far I have bought the following pouches.

SDS frag grenade pouch x 2
SDS medical pouch x 1
SDS M4 ammo pouch x1
Allied Industries M4 ammo pouch x 4

And I have the following incoming.

SDS sustainment pouch x 2
SDS 200rd SAW ammo pouch x 1
SDS SABRE pouch x 1
SDS M4 ammo pouch x 2
SDS .45 fb ammo pouch x 2
SDS flash bang pouch x 1
SDS leg panel x 1

Unfortunately the AAV that I bought is made by GUARDER. The real one is made by Point Blank and is rather difficult to find nowadays. I might get it if I ever see one for sale. But for now I am using the GUARDER replica, because I needed a platform for my pouches.

The replica is not bad, but does feel like a toy compared to the other vests I have.

For my first line, I have bought

Bianchi duty belt in black
Safariland 6004 for 1911 - old style in black
Eagle Industries belt mounted 1911 mag pouches in black
LBT sidearm lanyard in black

I will put the leg panel on it and one sustainment pouch as well.

It's not 100% correct, but rather look-alike version of the real thing.

Will post pics when stuff arrives!

International friends!

Yesterday I found out that the honorable USMC reenactors from 金鯱会 USMC Reenactment and one of their members TAROブログ have put a link to my blog.

I am honored that they have linked to this blog as I am a big fan of their work and collections.

So in honor of them, I have linked back to their websites as well.

Thank you! ^_^
